Learn.co Verified Open Source

“Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.”― H. Jackson Brown Jr.

What is the big deal about open source? Why should you care to contribute to an open source project? Open source software is software whose source code is available for alteration or improvements by anyone. One of the things I love about learn.co is that it is open source which, means all the labs and lessons is on Github anyone can have access to the material. The goal is to make learning the best possible produce for all. I am living in Japan but I have access to everything OSS (Open Source Software) with internet access. It amazes me at the accessible I have to learn and contribute. Just think about your global reach and the impact you can do.  When you have the opportunity to contribute to an open source project do it! This was my first experience submitting a pull request to fix something in one of the lessons. After I got the message that the change was merged and now in the existing curriculum, it was the best feeling ever.
